Yum.

I made some cookies today.  I stepped away for thirty seconds and came back and Felicity had decimated the beater.  And there was kinda a lot of cookie dough on here.  She was pleased with herself.
In other news, I went to a little photography class taught by a friend of mine, and she talked about the rule of thirds.  This rule tells us that the focal point of the picture shouldn't be smack in the middle, it should be in one of the thirds of the shot.  See here and here to see the rule of thirds in action (pictures from her blog).

Sounds pretty simple.  But I have been trying it, and it isn't really as easy as it sounds.

Also, not included in the rule of thirds, but probably just filed under common sense somewhere is that the backdrop to your photos shouldn't be the dishwasher or the dirty cabinets.  Felicity really, really, really wanted her picture taken right there.  I can't say why.  And then I was set up right there, so I brought Charlie over.... anyway, next pictures I will look for a better background, and I will keep practicing.

Hey, Sara, how are they?

The force is strong with this one.

Charlie is pretty certain he has the best aunt ever. She took him to the Star Wars exhibit at the Discovery Cube up in Santa Ana.They share a love for Star Wars. Stacy also has a deep and abiding love for Han Solo, which Charlie doesn't particularly share... (why does the Han costume have hands but no face? Freaky.)...but he definitely loves him some Darth Vader. (Darth Maul is his favorite, but I think this exhibit was from the first (released, not chronological) three movies.)
Star Wars, one on one auntie time, and Carl's Jr. makes one happy boy.

Easter

Tried to take a picture of the kids for Easter. I got... one.

Then Charlie started posing.

And Felicity.... wandered away.

After church we went to Grandma M's for the egg hunt, and the annual Easter pinata.

When we were younger, dating, if we ever were touching in any way, my mom would shout "STOP MAKING OUT." Hand holding, arm around each other, and especially if I ever sat in Greg's lap. Lack of seating required me to sit on him during the egg hunt, and we were laughing, remembering that.

Happy Easter!!
