...we got a dog. Yeah, maybe a little bit crazy. But at the time, life was pretty calm. Greg was coming home most days in time for dinner. Work was pretty busy, but I was working it in during Charlie's school and their naps. So, we went for it. We got her on a Friday night.
Greg hasn't been home before the kids go to bed since. Charlie gave up his naps all together. Felicity went down to one nap. Work is still crazy. So, yes, I am feeling a little frazzled. But she is pretty darn cute, right? And we love her.
(Her name is Pippa. She is almost 3 months, and she is a puggle, a beagle/pug mix.)
Little dude is going to Miss Shauna's for preschool 2 days a week. He went one day a week last year. It is mostly play based, not a lot of curriculum, but it is really fun for him and he feels so grown up.
We were at the grocery store after school on the first day. He told the cashier he started school, and she said "oh, did Mommy cry?" Mommy didn't cry, for the record. But, Felicity cried and whined the WHOLE time he was gone. She missed her best buddy. I guess I need to be more fun/interesting. I used to use his school time as a great time to get a lot of work done.... I don't think that is happening this year. Time to reevaluate when I will have time to work full time. =)
Charlie also had his first "go to a friend's house" experience. He plays with his little friends very frequently, at their house, ours, the park, etc. But, it is always the three of us going over and hanging out, adults chatting while kids play. This time, he went over to Parker's house and Felicity and I stayed home. Seems like a pretty big step. But he isn't growing up too much. He cried like an infant the whole ride home. He apparently wanted to stay and live at Parker's house.
