We were reading goodnight stories and we glanced over at Felicity.

She was standing. Of her own accord.
No big deal.

Side note: if you look closely, you can see the source of all the consternation from the last few weeks. There is a little tooth nub, and she is a lot happier. (Mommy is not so happy. She appears to be a biter.)

Not quite there.

Poor child. She was born in the wrong family if she dreams of having long legs.

I think my bathroom is currently cleaner than it has ever been. That is seriously significant, considering it is the current home base of a potty training two year old.

Magic eraser = pure awesomeness in sponge form.

I continue to maintain that bathtime is the best time to catch photos of my little people.

He said "I'm Santa. Ho, ho, ho." I think he learned it from Mady.

We celebrated our 5th anniversary on the 30th. We decided to take a little overnighter, sans children since it was a big milestone. So, we headed out to Palm Springs and stayed at this little resort (thanks to Living Social Escapes it was a pretty good deal), went and saw a movie, stopped at the outlets on the way home, and generally had a lovely time. The kids were perfect (allegedly) at my parent's house.

Husband: thanks for five wonderful years of marriage. I would do it again a million times.

I missed their little faces.

Yes, they (we) are sick (again).

Charlie was sort of confused about the actual presents, but he got right on board with the stocking. I only got pictures of this part because I didn't want to be missing the action of the actual Christmas presents.More pajama pictures ended in Felicity being in focus and Charlie not... But I love all the pictures so much that I had to include them anyway.

We had a wonderful Christmas with lots of family. My very favorite part was talking to my brother Spencer who gets to call home Christmas and Mother's Day from his 2 year mission in Mexico. We didn't talk about anything fascinating, but it was fun to hear his voice.

Christmas Eve

Building a gingerbread house.

Felicity helped. (Don't mind the pink cheeks. It was just a little fever.)
Opening a present. Basically impossible to get a picture of them in their jammies. But we tried. I love her belly hanging out.

Ashcraft Party!

Greg has 5 half brothers and sisters, so on his dad's side of things, there are tons of aunts, uncles, and cousins. This year we hosted the party for that side of the family. It consisted of a lot of cleaning. I had assistants for the cleaning.
Actually, I really did. My cousin came over and took care of my kids while I cleaned so much that my muscles were sore the next day. (This could mean one of three things: a, that I worked really hard, b, that I am seriously out of shape, or c, that I don't usually clean too much.)

We moved all the furniture off to the sides of the room so that more than 30 people could fit (one of his brothers couldn't make it, so we ended up having 26 people actually.)

We had breakfast for dinner and the kitchen was really busy with Jen, Nanci, and I all cooking everything.
We managed to fit everyone.
Brothers (Greg was reading the Christmas story).Charlie and Grandma Regina. This face. Seriously. The newest cousin: Juliet, only 3 weeks old.Kaylin and Felicity are BFF.Grandpa Chris read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to all the kids.
We loved seeing everyone for Christmas, and it was a great time!
When Santa comes each year, my work puts on a whole party for the kids and grandkids of employees.Charlie was kicking back and watching Frosty the Snowman with his cupcake.
Felicity on the other hand was enjoying the jicama.

A few fun things this season

The park with cousins. Jungle Bells at the Zoo. (Also with cousins.)
Legoland with Oakley and Easton.
Wild Animal Park with Amanda and Truman
